Another 7 drones are already in the service of the Ukrainian Defense Forces
Another batch of drones from the Techiia Foundation with a total value of over UAH 2.3 million ($64 thousand) helps Ukrainian defenders to carry out their tasks.
Military units of Special Forces on the eastern and southern directions received 6 Autel quadcopters. They are easy to operate, provide good quality photos and videos and perform well even in low light.
“These are commercial drones, but they are very useful on the front line. They are compact and easy to use, reliable, and their quality optics and a thermal imager help to observe objects at fairly large distances day and night. This is a really useful "bird" for our units," explains the UAV pilot with the call sign "Falcon."
Another drone received by the military unit as part of the Independent Presidential Regiment is a VTOL-type unmanned aircraft complex, i.e., an aircraft-type drone with vertical take-off and landing, costing UAH 845,000.
"Drones are irreplaceable on the front line. They allow us to act more efficiently, gather the necessary information and perform a number of important tasks. Unfortunately, their life cycle at the front is not very long, and the military regularly needs new "birds", so my team and I are constantly working on this."
This year, the Techiia Foundation has donated over $2.5 million worth of drones to the Ukrainian Defense Forces. In particular, these are FlyEye aircraft systems and several dozen DJI drones.
In total, the amount of assistance to the Defense Forces of Ukraine from the Techiia Foundation has crossed the mark of $21.2 million. In addition, the managing partner of TECHIIA holding Oleg Krot purchased almost $40 million worth of necessary items for the defenders of Ukraine.
