Kharkiv Territorial Defence received ambulances provided by the IT community
The first of two ambulances fundraised by the IT Ukraine Association, the Kharkiv IT Cluster, and the Techiia Foundation is already helping to save lives in the Kharkiv region.
122nd Battalion of the Kharkiv’s Territorial Defense received an ambulance, which was purchased with the funds raised by the Ukrainian IT community. In May, the community managed to raise $20,000 in donations to purchase two vehicles. The first vehicle - the Renault was serviced and now fulfilling its mission, the second one is still on its way.
"This car is an urgent need, so I am very grateful for this specialized vehicle. According to our experience, in order to get the wounded out of the front line, you need a vehicle that was designed specifically for it. Previously, we used ordinary minibusses, where wounded people with many injuries were struggling from such a ride, and the car itself was not designed to safely transport the injured person, because it is constantly shaking. Now in the new ambulance, we will be able to provide first aid to at least stabilize the person's condition and bring them to the hospital alive. First of all, we are talking about people from combat zones," said Anatoliy, staff sergeant of the planning group of the 122nd Battalion of the 113th Kharkiv Territorial Defense Brigade.
IT Ukraine Association, Kharkiv IT Cluster, and the NGO Techiia Foundation are grateful to everyone who joined the fundraiser and contributed to saving the lives of Kharkiv residents.
It is worth recalling that in March 2022, the Techiia Foundation and the IT Ukraine Association signed a memorandum of cooperation to overcome the humanitarian and economic consequences of the war that the Russian Federation has unleashed in Ukraine.
