The Techiia Foundation purchased more than 13,000 chemical heating pads for the military.
With their help, soldiers can warm their limbs during cold weather. The purchase price is about UAH 900 000.
Individual compact warmers from the Thermopad company help keep your feet and hands warm in cold weather. They are activated upon contact with air and can generate heat for 8 to 12 hours. The warmers are thin, light, and not felt both in boots and gloves, so they do not cause any discomfort to the soldiers.
The Techiia Foundation purchased more than 13,000 heating pads of various sizes. The first three thousand were bought back in the summer and distributed to the military with the onset of the first cold weather. The next 3,600 foot warmers and 540 hand warmers are currently being distributed according to military requests. And another 6,000 pieces will be delivered from Germany to Ukraine in the coming days. The total cost of the heating pads is almost UAH 900,000.
"Ukrainian soldiers receive a lot of equipment and various means from volunteers and the government. Among them, we also hand over heating pads — little things, but actually not so little, especially when it comes to, for example, controlling an UAV or conducting a reconnaissance operation in the cold," comments Oleg Krot, director of the Techiia Foundation and managing partner of the TECHIIA holding.
Recall that recently the Techiia Foundation donated 1,000 water filters, 20 generators, 7 UAVs and 30 vehicles to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since February 2022, the amount of assistance from the organization has crossed the $21.5 million mark. Oleg Krot personally made a separate contribution - almost $40 million has been turned into protection and useful items for soldiers. Due to military secrecy, the details of these purchases can not be disclosed.
