The NGO Techiia Foundation purchased water purifiers
With their help, the Ukrainian military will be able to provide themselves with drinking water in extreme conditions. And they will also help purify water in the de-occupied regions. The purchase price is UAH 900,000.
A thousand filters of the American company Sawyer will be distributed among the units of several brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Special Operation Forces. They will help the military to turn water from natural reservoirs, melted snow, or rain into potable water.
The filter traps particles up to 0.1 microns in size and, according to the manufacturer, can filter more than 300,000 liters of water thanks to its backwash system. At the same time, the filter weighs only 57 grams, so the military will always be able to easily carry them all the time. And its considerable resource will cover the needs of the unit.
"Drinking water is one of the greatest humanitarian needs on the front lines, because it is rare to carry water supplies with you. Especially for scouts who can stay behind enemy lines for weeks. These compact filters will help you get drinking water anywhere, quench your thirst and minimize the threat to your health. They have proven themselves in conditions of extreme tourism and after natural disasters, so they should become useful in conditions of war."
Another 400 filtration systems from the same manufacturer will be transferred to the de-occupied regions, where the water channels are now destroyed or significantly damaged. With their help, local residents will be able to purify water until the utility systems are operational.
It is worth a reminder that earlier the NGO Techiia Foundation handed over 30 cars, 7 drones and 800 life jackets to units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In total, the amount of assistance to the Defense Forces of Ukraine from the Techiia Foundation exceeded $21.5 million. In addition to this, the Managing Partner of the TECHIIA holding Oleg Krot purchased almost $40 million worth of necessary items and equipment for the defenders of Ukraine. For security reasons and due to military secrecy, the details of these purchases are not disclosed.
