Techiia Foundation provided 800 life vests to the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Such vests are required by military personnel performing tasks on water bodies. They are designed to save soldiers’ lives if they fall overboard in case of an enemy attack.
The first batch of 500 AWN Supralite 150H life vests is already in use by The Military Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and 300 more are on their way to Ukraine. The total cost of all these items is UAH 2.1 million (over $57,000). These vests are light, subsequently, the are easy to carry while they can save lives effectively.
"In case of the blast wave from the enemy projectile, the troops being in the boat at the time of explosion may find themselves drowning. If any soldier loose consciousness or has a concussion - most certainly this person will drown not even regaining consciousness. To avoid such a tragic result, a life vest keeps the soldier floating allowing him/her to be rescued by comrades. And we've already heard about such optimistic cases with our vests from the military."
In addition, these life vests are equipped with reflective strips and a signal whistle, which improve the search for survivors.
"Since we received the vests, we keep them by our side: during training, practicing and during combat missions. They really help save the lives of our military. And life itself is the greatest value for us. We are grateful for your help," commented Oleksandr B., call sign "CAP", captain of the first rank of the Ukrainian Navy.
It is worth mentioning that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the russian federation into Ukraine, the NGO Techiia Foundation purchased and handed over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine bulletproof vests, helmets, drones, generators, communication devices, optics worth over $21 million. In addition to that, the Managing Partner of the TECHIIA holding Oleg Krot provided the defenders of Ukraine with gear and items for approximately $40 million.
