The soldier Borys received a bionic prosthetic arm

Military Boris "Mantu" joined the Ukrainian army in 2020, because he chose military affairs as his specialty.

When the great Russian invasion of Ukraine took place on February 24, 2022, Boris was receiving treatment in the Netherlands, where he was awaiting the installation of a prosthesis. However, the actions of the enemy changed everything.

On February 24, he did not hesitate for a moment and immediately went home to fight the enemy.

Oleg Krot, the President of the Techia Foundation NGO, involved a defender in the foundation's prosthetics program so that Boris could receive a modern prosthesis and undergo all the rehabilitation at home, in Ukraine.

"Thanks to friends, I went to the company "Esper", which manufactures prostheses. This company is independently looking for sponsors, and Oleg Krot's Techia Foundation is one of their permanent partners, which acts as a donor for boys who are waiting for a prosthesis. Also, this public organization paid for the production of a prosthesis for me", - shares the defender with the call sign "Mantu".

Now, as the commander of the reserve company of the 54th separate reconnaissance battalion, Boris is engaged in the training of new recruits, but the loss of a limb will not allow him to forget about himself, although a modern prosthesis makes life easier.

"I was left with an elbow and I can work, but because of the war I often forget about exercises that develop for me in general. You need to improve yourself physically. In any case, you start using only your hand - this is already a big overload of muscles on one side. Then problems with the spine begin. That's why you should not forget to take care of yourself", says Boris.

The Techia Foundation team is convinced that all the support we can provide to Ukrainian heroes today is the least we can do in response to their daily courage.
