Regional Clinical Children's Hospitall in Kropyvnytskyi received consumables from the NGO Techiia Foundation
At the end of 2022, the hospital received shunts and reservoirs worth UAH 161.5 thousand. They will be used in neurosurgical operations.
KNP “Regional Clinical Children's Hospital” in the city of Kropyvnytskyi is the first hospital the Foundation started cooperating back in 2019 within the "Get well soon!" project. During this time, the hospital received an ultrasound machine, a ventilator, a bronchofibroscope and other necessary equipment.
Recently, the hospital received yet another batch of consumables. These medical items are extremely necessary for the treatment of children with hydrocephalus and neuro-oncological pathology, but they are not on the National List of Essential Medicines. Thus, parents of little patients must buy them at their own expense.
The NGO Techiia Foundation fulfilled the hospital's need for these supplies, subsequently, from now on the hospital will provide patients with shunt systems, ventricular reservoirs and other consumables free of charge.
"Once again, I would like to thank our sponsors - the Techiia Foundation and the Angel of Life charitable foundation, who provide help to those who need it both in times of peace and in times of war. Thanks to the support of these organizations, we can provide even more services absolutely free of charge," said children's neurosurgeon Oleksandr Pyzin.
In total, in 2022, 9 medical facilities in seven cities received new equipment and consumables from the Techiia Foundation: Vinnytsia, Kamianske, Kyiv, Kropyvnytskyi, Lviv, Ternopil, Cherkasy. The cost of upgrades provided is over UAH 6.5 million.
