450-500 blood tests per day: new equipment from the "Techiia Foundation" received by a children's hospital in Kropyvnytskyi

The NGO "Techiia Foundation" funded the purchase of a new biochemical blood analyzer worth 799 thousand hryvnias, the equipment has already been installed and is operating at the Kropyvnytskyi Regional Children's Clinical Hospital. The Foundation has been cooperating with this hospital since its establishment in 2020.

The XL-200 automatic biochemical analyzer has a productivity of 200 tests per hour and can simultaneously perform three types of tests: colorimetric, immunoturbidimetric, and photometric. It can analyze 29 blood samples at once and perform over 20 types of tests. Thanks to the new equipment, the productivity of the hospital's biochemical laboratory has increased to 450-500 tests per day, and in the past year alone, the laboratory has conducted 73,650 blood biochemistry studies.

"The previous biochemical analyzer had been working in the hospital for the past 22 years and was morally very outdated. To perform the full range of biochemical studies, we used three different analyzers simultaneously, each providing one test result for one blood sample. And this significantly slowed down the decision-making process regarding treatment. The XL-200 works quickly and efficiently, allowing us to diagnose as quickly as possible, start treatment, and expedite the child's recovery," says Anastasiia Matviienko, head of the clinical diagnostic laboratory.

In May, the Kropyvnytskyi Regional Children's Clinical Hospital participated in the international quality assessment program PREVECAL on the XL-200 automatic biochemical analyzer and received a certificate confirming the 100% accuracy of the tests.

"Our goal is to equip the regional hospital in Kropyvnytskyi with the most modern equipment so that as many children from the central regions of Ukraine as possible have access to quality medicine on quality equipment," comments Yuna Cheis, Chair of the Board of the Tetchia Foundation. "The founders of our organization, Oleg Krot and Yuriy Lazebnikov, have been supporting this hospital for over 6 years, and we are proud of the results. In the future, we plan to provide the hospital with additional equipment and make it a model in its region."

The purchase of the equipment was organized by the team of the charitable foundation "Angel of Life" - long-term partners of the Techiia Foundation, who help equip the hospital in Kropyvnytskyi with modern medical equipment.

It is worth mentioning that since 2018, the "Techiia Foundation" has updated equipment in Ukrainian hospitals for over 18 million hryvnias. Modern devices have been received by medical institutions in Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Rivne, Sumy, Cherkasy, Bila Tserkva, Kropyvnytskyi, and Zhytomyr. Additionally, the "Techiia Foundation" fully finances the activities of the "Eva" Inclusion and Correction Center, which helps children after oncological surgeries and children with disabilities.
