Spiderweb
Spiderweb
Social project
“Spiderweb” is a large-scale initiative that brings together multiple partner organizations with the goal of creating additional physical protection for Ukrainian military personnel against enemy drone attacks.
Modern warfare is largely driven by the use of drones, which pose a constant threat to personnel, equipment, and frontline infrastructure. In response to this challenge, TECHIIA Foundation, together with its partners, has organized a systematic process of collecting, delivering, and providing anti-drone nets to Ukrainian military units.
The idea behind the project is to give a new purpose to fishing and agricultural nets by transforming them into an effective protective solution on the battlefield. These nets are used to reinforce shelters, protect positions, camouflage equipment, create protective corridors, and reduce the risk of attacks from FPV drones and other aerial threats.
Project Results:
▪️ thousands of tons of anti-drone nets have already been delivered to frontline units;
▪️ more than 90 combat units receive support through the initiative;
▪️ dozens of large-scale deliveries have been organized to frontline areas in eastern Ukraine;
▪️ Ukrainian and international partners have been engaged in the collection, logistics, and delivery of protective materials.
“Spiderweb” demonstrates how an unconventional idea and the combined efforts of volunteers, businesses, and charitable organizations can create a practical protection solution for those who defend Ukraine every day. We continue expanding this initiative, because every net delivered to the frontline provides an additional layer of protection that helps save the lives of Ukrainian defenders.
