The soldier Mykhailo received a bionic prosthetic arm
At Techiia Foundation, we are proud to stand with those who defend Ukraine and to help them recover after the most difficult trials.
Within the framework of our “Unstoppable” project, we funded the prosthetics for serviceman Mykhailo, who lost both arms and sustained severe injuries while fighting for Ukraine. In 2022, Mykhailo was deployed with his unit to the front lines near Bakhmut, where he came under mortar fire.
“I was thrown to the side. My arms were torn off instantly, my legs shattered, half my face ripped apart. Six of my brothers carried me for two kilometers under fire,” Mykhailo recalls.

He spent more than a year in hospitals in Kyiv, then in Lviv, and later in Dnipro at a prosthetics plant. In total, he underwent 66 surgeries. Despite exhaustion, he remained active and determined to recover.
Thanks to modern bionic and mechanical prosthetics, rehabilitation, and his own resilience, Mykhailo can once again live an active life — repairing equipment, training, and planning for the future.
His story is a testament to extraordinary strength of spirit, dedication, and the will to move forward against all odds.
As Mykhailo says: “A prosthesis isn’t something you put on a shelf. It’s daily work. Small steps every day — and you’ll feel that you can do more again.”
Today, over 100,000 people in Ukraine live with amputations. We believe that each of them deserves the chance to return to a full life. That is why we will continue to support our Defenders and do everything possible to help them recover.
Together, we are stronger. 💙💛
