Prosthetic fitting is not the final point after an injury. It is the beginning of a new chapter in life, where modern technology can play an important role in helping a person return to activity, work, and everyday life.

After a severe injury, multiple surgeries, and a long period of rehabilitation, Ruslan received a modern bionic prosthesis and is now learning to make the most of its capabilities.

A bionic prosthesis is a technological solution designed to replicate the functionality of a natural limb as closely as possible.

Unlike traditional mechanical prostheses, modern bionic systems allow users to perform a much wider range of movements and control the prosthesis using signals generated by their own body.

“It was much easier with the mechanical one, but now we’ll have to get used to this. Whatever it can do, that’s what we’ll do. We’ll test it to the fullest. Never give up,” says Ruslan.
 

For a person who has lost an upper limb, this means much more than restoring appearance. It provides an opportunity to gradually regain the ability to perform everyday and professional activities.

We know that for a service member, the journey does not end when their life is saved after a severe injury. There are often multiple surgeries, lengthy rehabilitation, prosthetic fitting, and the process of relearning everyday activities. Modern technologies can make this journey more effective, helping our defenders regain familiar movements and as much independence as possible.

And for us, it is important not simply to help someone receive a prosthesis. It is about giving them the opportunity to regain control over their own life, become more independent, and keep moving forward.
