Special Bed and Chair for Inclusive Childbirth
For the third time, Techiia Foundation has supported Kyiv Maternity Hospital No. 2. This time by delivering specialized inclusive maternity equipment — a dedicated bed and chair designed for inclusive childbirth. This modern equipment is intended to ensure that expectant parents with physical disabilities can experience the birth of their child in comfortable, safe, and dignified conditions — together and without barriers.

The inclusive transformer bed and specialized chair allow the maternity ward to be adapted to the individual needs of each family. The equipment provides comfort for mothers during labor and enables fathers to stay close and actively participate in the childbirth process, regardless of physical limitations.
Promoting accessibility and equal opportunities in healthcare is one of Techiia Foundation’s key priorities. The Foundation consistently supports medical institutions across Ukraine — from supplying high-tech surgical equipment to implementing inclusive solutions that improve the quality of medical services and make them accessible to everyone.
“We deliberately purchased not only the bed but also a special inclusive chair for fathers who have lost an arm or a leg, because we want to ensure they have the opportunity to experience this moment, when they can place the child on themselves immediately after birth, alongside the mother,” said Yuna Cheis, Chair of the Foundation’s Board.

Techiia Foundation strives to ensure that every delivery room offers an environment where people with special needs feel confident, respected, and comfortable. Modern childbirth is not only about medical safety, but also about accessibility, partnership, and the opportunity for parents to be together at one of the most important moments of their lives.
