Neurosurgical Equipment for Rivne City Hospital
The Techiia Foundation has delivered advanced neurosurgical equipment — the NeuroSmart system — to the Central City Hospital of Rivne to support complex brain and spinal surgeries.
This high-tech solution enables faster and safer surgical interventions. Equipped with a multifunctional motor that allows for the connection of various attachments during the procedure, it eliminates the need to pause surgery for instrument changes. The system automatically adjusts operating parameters, which is particularly critical in time-sensitive situations.

The hospital’s neurosurgical department performs hundreds of complex procedures annually for both civilian and military patients. According to the Head of the Department, Oleksandr Kucheruk, the use of NeuroSmart significantly improves surgical outcomes by reducing procedure time and minimizing blood loss, thereby increasing patients’ chances of recovery.
The system features automatic instrument recognition and independently adjusts settings based on the connected attachment. This enhances surgical precision and allows clinicians to focus on what matters most — saving lives. Additionally, the equipment helps prevent damage to critical brain structures through precise depth control.

The equipment was procured based on the hospital’s actual needs, following consultations with neurosurgeons who manage the most complex cases on a daily basis.
Supporting Ukrainian healthcare institutions with modern technologies remains one of the Foundation’s key priorities.
For many years, we have been supporting hospitals across Ukraine and will continue to do so to ensure that high-quality medical care becomes a standard rather than an exception — especially at a time when the healthcare system is under significant strain. Providing doctors with the tools they need to save lives faster, more accurately, and more effectively is more important than ever.
