Modern equipment for diagnosing hearing impairments in children

Since its establishment in 2019, TECHIIA Foundation has been implementing the “Recover Faster” program, supporting children’s hospitals with modern medical equipment essential for the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of young patients.

This time, together with the Angel of Life Charitable Foundation, we provided the Regional Clinical Children’s Hospital with modern equipment for diagnosing hearing impairments in children, worth UAH 405,000.

The new equipment is particularly important for the hospital, as the previous device used by medical staff was manufactured back in 1997 and was no longer repairable.

The new system will support the examination of children of different ages and significantly expand doctors’ capabilities in the early detection of hearing impairments. It is particularly valuable for working with newborns and will be used, among other areas, in the Neonatal Pathology Department, where early identification of hearing disorders is critically important.

Timely diagnosis makes it possible to begin the necessary interventions as early as possible and provide children with the best possible conditions for their development.

The equipment will also enable doctors to examine children who have sustained blast-related injuries. Amid the ongoing full-scale war in Ukraine, this capability is especially relevant, as such injuries can affect various bodily functions, including hearing.
