Functional Stretchers for the Neurosurgery Center in Uzhhorod
The Zakarpattia Regional Center of Neurosurgery and Neurology in Uzhhorod has received critical support in the form of four state-of-the-art functional stretchers. These stretchers will be used in the intensive care unit and the reception department across all four floors of the center.
This medical facility is one of the leading centers in Ukraine, home to world-renowned neurosurgeon and Vice President of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies, Volodymyr Smolanka. The center performs numerous complex surgeries, including endovascular procedures, operations on stroke and oncology patients, and unique “wake-up” anesthesia surgeries.
The delivered stretchers are equipped with X-ray-transparent surfaces, advanced functionality for moving patients in various positions, and a special fifth wheel for overcoming thresholds. These features significantly ease the work of medical staff and reduce the time needed for diagnostics and surgical preparation. The assistance is particularly crucial for patients with spinal injuries, where minimizing movement is essential.
Even during the war, we continue to support hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers serving military personnel, civilians, and children. We recognize that even in the most challenging times, it is vital to maintain and strengthen the national healthcare system.
